New Pool, Spa, Outdoor Living & Landscape Built for Everyday Enjoyment
From an outdated backyard to a refreshed backyard
The Williams Project
What began as a pool remodel quickly evolved into a full transformation. The existing free-form pool no longer fit the homeowners’ lifestyle, so the decision was made to remove it entirely and build a new, modern rectangular sport pool designed for entertaining, relaxing, and everyday use. The result is a clean, symmetrical layout centered on the home, layered with complementary styles, refined materials, and resort-level amenities that elevate the entire backyard experience.
New Pool & Spa Design
The new pool was reimagined as a sleek rectangular sport pool finished in Blue Surf PebbleSheen, creating a timeless yet modern aesthetic. The pool and spa were perfectly centered on the home to establish a strong visual axis and balanced sightlines.
A raised center wall anchors the design, featuring a dramatic 10′ sheer descent flanked by two 6″ raised walls that create depth, elevation, and movement. Benches throughout the pool and a generously sized tanning ledge allow guests of all ages to enjoy the water, while five LED bubblers bring motion and sound to the shallow area.
The 9′ 6″ x 11′ raised spa, elevated 12″ above the patio, is designed for group entertaining. A 90-degree glass tile spillway finished in Aries Arctic Breeze tile cascades into the pool, powered by a dedicated spa pump that delivers an impressive volume of flowing water. Subtle upgrades, like flush Hide skimmer lids, keep the pool’s lines clean and uninterrupted.

Marble Pool patio
To unify the outdoor spaces, the patio surrounding the pool and the existing covered areas were renovated with Diana Royal marble pavers, creating a seamless transition throughout the backyard.

upgraded patio ceilings
Existing ceilings were upgraded with tongue-and-groove finishes, re-stained wood, new recessed lighting, and modern ceiling fans.

Custom Patio structure
Centered on the pool is a custom patio cover with three architectural privacy walls add structure and visual interest:
-
A center wall clad in Alabaster Ledger stone with a mounted outdoor TV
-
Two recessed accent walls finished in Loire Blanc modern wood-look veneer
-
Custom wood shutter openings on the left and right walls
Stone pedestals and rear columns echo the Alabaster Ledger veneer with Diana Royal coping, while the front columns and beams are finished in stucco to match the home. Black gas lanterns add warmth and contrast, while the standing seam metal roof and tongue-and-groove ceiling—with black-rim recessed lighting and Big Ass Fans—complete the structure.
outdoor kitchen
The outdoor kitchen features a galley-style counter with an island bar centered under the structure. The kitchen is outfitted with FireMagic appliances, including a grill, refrigerator, sink, and ample storage. Countertops are finished in Fantasy Brown 3CM granite, with flush-mounted stainless steel outlets and integrated USB charging for convenience.

Hardscaping & Landscaping
Preserving mature trees behind the pool was a priority, so the landscape design was carefully planned to complement both the natural canopy and the new hardscape. Walkout paths with Moonstone gravel and Castohn steppers provide functional access to the yard while introducing subtle contrast. The pool equipment is screened with a custom wood trellis and Confederate Jasmine, keeping mechanical elements discreet.
As the sun sets, the property comes alive with layered lighting, landscape fixtures, hardscape lighting beneath spa coping, color-changing pool LEDs, and the warm glow of gas lanterns throughout the space.
3D Design & Planning
Before construction began, the entire backyard was designed in 3D, allowing the homeowners to visualize the new pool geometry, elevations, water features, patio cover, and kitchen layout in advance. This process ensured alignment on proportions, materials, and sightlines, eliminating guesswork and enabling confident decisions long before breaking ground.

Construction Process
From demolition to final detailing, this project was executed by Envy Exteriors’ exceptional team. Removing the existing pool allowed for precise re-engineering of elevations, plumbing, and structural elements. Each phase, from pool form, structural framing, stonework, decking, and finishes, was carefully sequenced to ensure quality, consistency, and craftsmanship at every step.
