The family couldn't enjoy the space they'd invested in, and the underlying structural issue meant a simple repair wasn't an option. The water feature wall needed to be completely rebuilt.

The goal was to design and build a safe, modern, high-end outdoor living environment where the family could truly enjoy their backyard. The vision included:

3D Design & Visualization
Before breaking ground, the Wright Project was fully designed using Envy Exteriors' advanced 3D design process. This allowed the family to visualize the complete transformation, from the reimagined water feature wall with its custom column and scupper design, to the redesigned patio flow, the new fire pit gathering space, and the upgraded kitchen.
The 3D renderings were instrumental in refining material selections, feature placement, and spatial flow. The family could see exactly how the changes would transform the space and how each area would integrate into the larger outdoor living experience.
This detailed visualization process ensured the final build matched the approved design in every detail, eliminating surprises and keeping the project aligned with the family's vision throughout construction.
Remodeled Pool & Water Features
The heart of this transformation was the complete redesign of the water feature wall. What had been a structural liability became a sculptural centerpiece.
Water Feature Wall:
- Rebuilt with four columns and raised walls in between.
- Center raised wall features five modern black powder-coated steel square scuppers for dynamic water movement.
- Left and right columns each feature two black square 30" water feature bowls.
- Far left and right columns feature matching 30" planter bowls planted with Color Guard Yucca.
- Front-facing veneer of the walls is a "Fantastic Royal 3D Honed" natural stone for a refined, contemporary aesthetic.
- The rear wall's veneer is a "Philadelphia Z Pattern" natural stone for textural depth.
- All columns finished with "The Rock Ivory Porcelain Tile" for a modern, cohesive look.
- Hardscape lighting installed under the rear side of the pool coping created a stunning illuminated effect in the evening.
Pool Resurfacing & Lighting:
- Pool surface resurfaced with "BlueSurf Pebblesheen" pool plaster, delivering a beautiful, rich blue color.
- All pool lights replaced with new LED color-changing lights (synced in color for unified ambiance).
- Additional pool lights installed in the pool wall, as well as the bench area beneath the water feature wall, uplighting the center columns.
- Coping finished with Diana Royal anti-slip marble for safety and elegance.
Pool Equipment:
- Updated and modernized to meet the pool's water feature needs.
- New digital control systems for seamless operation by the family.
Patio Reimagined
The existing patio was completely reimagined to improve flow, usability, safety, and visual cohesion.
- Entire pool patio rebuilt with "Diana Royal" anti-slip marble pavers, the same premium material used for coping throughout the project, creating visual continuity.
- 6" banding of "Level Pebble Sepia Honed" natural stone separating the coping from the surrounding patio decking.
- Both sides of the pool patio now feature redesigned steps connecting the upper pool deck to the lower patio area.
- Steps are now consistent in style, size, and alignment on both sides, creating visual balance and improved functionality.
- Hardscape lighting installed under the pavers on each step for stunning aesthetics and enhanced safety during twilight and nighttime hours.
- Custom wrought iron stairway handrails provide both safety and beautiful architectural detail.
Fire Pit & Lower Seating Area
Behind the pool, a new gathering space was created to extend the usable outdoor living experience.
- Constructed with "Philadelphia Z Pattern" natural stone travertine veneer (matching the pool's rear wall for cohesion).
- Black fire glass for a modern, sophisticated look.
- Hardscape lighting installed on all four sides of the coping for evening ambiance and safety.
- 6" banding of "Level Pebble Sepia Honed" natural stone separates the fire pit from the surrounding decking.
This intimate zone becomes the perfect spot for evening gatherings, creating a secondary entertaining area that anchors the lower backyard.
Remodeled Outdoor Kitchen
The existing outdoor kitchen was removed and completely redesigned to better serve the family's entertaining and lifestyle needs.

Landscaping Modifications
Decorative Planters & Lighting:
- Two black powder-coated steel raised planters installed on each side, planted with Color Guard Yuccas.
- Moonstone gravel surrounds the planters for a polished, high-end appearance.
- Landscaping spotlights installed on the steel urns, creating another spectacular nighttime focal point.
Landscape Integration:
- Modified landscaping beds by the fence to accommodate the overall design changes.
- Iron fencing was retained and integrated into the new landscape plan.
Construction Process
